Why choose PNG for PDF pages
PNG keeps every pixel exactly as it was rendered, so small text, charts, tables, and line art stay sharp without the soft edges that lossy formats can add. It is the best option when the page will be edited, annotated, or placed in a presentation.
What about file size?
Because it is lossless, a PNG page is larger than the same page in JPG or WebP, often 1 to 2 MB for a full page at 150 DPI. If size matters more than perfect edges, use PDF to JPG or PDF to WebP, or send the PNG files to Compress afterwards.

Common problems and how to fix them
The PNG files are too large
That is the cost of lossless quality. Send them to Compress to reduce colors, or to Convert as WebP for a much smaller file.
I need a transparent background
PDF pages are white, so the PNG keeps a white background. Removing it requires an image editor.
The PDF asks for a password
Protected PDFs cannot be opened here. Remove the password in your PDF reader, save a copy, and add that copy.
