Unlike JPG, WebP supports transparent backgrounds, so logos, icons, and cut-out product images keep their shape. That makes WebP the natural replacement for PNG on modern websites.

Replacing large PNG files with WebP reduces the weight of a page. Convert saves at maximum quality to keep edges and text clean; use Compress afterwards to trade a little quality for an even smaller file.

Convert uses maximum quality to keep edges clean. Continue to Compress and try 85–90 for logos and screenshots.

Keep a higher quality when compressing graphics with thin lines or small text.
