Scan documents with your iPhone

Take a photo of each page, add the photos here, choose PDF and Merged, and you get one PDF with every page in order, ready for an application, a bank form, or an email. No scanner or extra app is needed.

How the pages are laid out

Each photo is centered on an A4 page with a small margin and scaled to fit without cropping. Wide photos get a landscape page automatically. In Merged mode, pages follow the order of your list.

How your photos are placed

You choose Individual or Merged; the page layout is automatic:

Common problems and how to fix them

  • The pages are in the wrong order

Merged follows the order of the list. Remove the photos and add them again in the order you want.

  • The PDF is too heavy for the upload limit

iPhone photos have a lot of pixels. Continue to Compress from the results, or Resize the photos to about 2000 pixels on the long side first.

  • The document looks small or dark in the photo

Take the photo straight from above, in good light, with the page filling the frame. The PDF places the photo as it is and does not crop or straighten it.

🔗 Keep going without uploading again

PDF too heavy for an upload limit? After converting, continue to Compress from the results to reduce its size without starting over.

Frequently Asked Questions

We answer your questions about privacy, features, and limits.

Can I merge several HEIC photos into one PDF?
Yes. Choose PDF, then Merged. The PDF has one page per photo, in the order shown in the list.
Can I mix HEIC photos with JPG, PNG, or PDF files?
Yes. A merged PDF can combine photos and images with the pages of other PDFs, which keep their original page size.
Will the text in the PDF be searchable?
No. Photos are placed as images, so the text in them cannot be selected or searched.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The file is processed by your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to a FreeConvertYou server. Photos of personal documents stay on your device.
How do I send several pages in one email attachment?
Merge them into one PDF here, then attach that single file.
Is there a limit?
You can add up to 20 photos per batch, 25 MB each.
